Heres a fun fact about the show Scrubs, almost every episode title starts with the word my. This is because the show is actually supposed to be J.Ds diary entries. This explains J.Ds constant narrative, and why the characters and events are so goofy, it also explains the random comical short sketches though out an episode. There are quite a few episode titles that start with the word our and these episodes have multiple narrators, shifting from character to character. These episodes are still J.Ds diary entries, but in these episodes J.D speculated what the other characters were thinking. This idea of the episode titles and diary entires kind of lost its direction in season 8 and 9 due to complications with networks and ratings. Its pretty easy to see the show was desperately changing in the last 2 seasons to attempt to grab more viewers and save the show. Despite this desperation the creator of the show still tried to keep this diary entry idea. Its pretty cool that there was this big underline theme that completely controlled the flow and feel of the show, and yet is never openly acknowledged.
