Heres a look at whats going on today in the River City COOKOUT Lookout for the Cookout The annual Lookout for the Cookout festival will take place today in Constitution Park. There will be tire relays, water balloon tosses, three legged races, a basketball shootout, a chess tournament, a football throw and other activities, stretching from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. SPORTS Generals host doubleheader The Waynesboro Generals will be at home throughout the day, with two games on the schedule. At 1 p.m. they’ll face off against the Covington Lumberjacks, and then at 7 p.m. they’ll play the Winchester Royals. Kate Collins Field is at 1625 Ivy Street. ACTIVITIES Farmers Market open today The Waynesboro Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Constitution Park. There will be a free kids event, sponsored by the Power of Produce, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Delicious Dishe food truck will also be on site and musician David Young will perform, starting at 11 a.m. Raw honey, sweet corn, goat cheese and other products will be available. Waynesboro hosts Good Shepherd Service Christ Tabernacle Church of God in Christ will hold its annual Good Shepherd Service at 5 pm with special guest Elder Philip X. Green Sr., pastor of Gospel Way Church of God in Christ in Lexington. Christ Tabernacle is located at 1312 C Street. St. James plans car wash Members of St. James Baptist Church will hold a car wash at Willy’s Ice Cream; beginning at 8 a.m. Willy’s is located at 2800 W. Main Street. Comedy at Azteca Plaza Azteca will be the site of the Buckin Comedy Show, beginning at 8 pm. The restaurant is located at 23 Windigrove Drive. MUSIC Randal at Green Leaf Musician Gary Randal will perform tonight at Green Leaf Grill, 415 W. Main St., starting at 6 p.m. Dillon at The Hot Spot The Mike Dillon Band will play at The Hot Spot tonight, beginning at 9 p.m. The facility is located at 901 W. Broad Street. Goodsons at Chauncey’s Musical group The Goodsons will perform at Chauncey’s Smokehouse, beginning at 8 p.m. The restaurant is located at 2323 W. Main Street. MUSEUMS Exhibits up at Heritage Museum The Withrows: Their Lives, Their Times, Their Homes is currently the featured exhibit at the Waynesboro Heritage Museum, 420 W. Main Street.
