Heres a pretty informative talk about Operation Paperclip. Its interesting that many of the Nazi scientists were imprisoned but then released upon orders from above to contribute to the American program. Some of the scientists moved directly from working on some of more insidious Nazi programs to working on the CIAs MK Ultra. Annie Jacobsen is somewhat of an apologist in many ways but still lays down some important details. After World War 2 America emerged as the new center for fascism. The way had been cleared after the genocide of the Native American population in the previous centuries.
