Heres a weird fact about me... those of you who went to school with me probably already knew or figured this out... but Im a pretty quick study. In other words... Ive been fortunate enough to be able to pick up on things or at least grasp the basic concept without having to put too much research or study into it. I was never fond of homework or intense study... and my mind allowed me to find ways around doing both. MY sister and a lot of others around me, were very disciplined and worked really hard to achieve their success at various things... and I kind of coasted along. Most things Ive become adept at throughout my life, basically have been self-taught. Computers, DJing, Lighting Design and Sound Engineering, etc... Ive been able to read a book, watch someone else, or more recently google something and become pretty decent at applying what Ive seen. Usually I can qualify for advanced level certification, based solely on finding my own way. But after getting thru most of life that way... at 42+ years Im finally getting focused enough to want to really specialize and go beyond advanced to expert. I refuse to allow myself to just get by because its good enough for most. So bear with me as I attempt to shift gears and take things up... yet another notch. This time I want to MASTER my crafts. So Im actually studying and practicing those things Im truly interested in, especially those things people come to me for. Those of you around... tell me if you can notice the difference. If you can... tell me what you think... if you cant, feel free to let me know if you think the job Im doing is on point. Ive got some serious goals to attain... and I know I cant coast anymore if I want to achieve them. Thanks for your support in advance. -BlacGuyver
