Heres an update on the day for those of you keeping notes. I called the hospice nurse today and was told that we didnt qualify at the moment. I called and left a message with her doctor in Comanche for our next plan of attack. I also called and set up an appointment with Dr. Paulk in Cross Plains to check on getting a little Home Healthcare assistance out here during school. Hopefully that works to our benefit. We had an appointment with one of my friends who just happened to be the administrator of a nursing home in Brownwood. I was very impressed with the facility. It looked very homey and didnt smell like a nursing home. It was a very relaxing and impressive environment and experience. I got the name of another elder care attorney to make sure we have her assets protected if and when we do ever need to take the next step. I dont mind paying my fair sure, but would certainly hate to squander all that she has scrimped and scraped together. We ran a thousand errands all over Brownwood, came home and hung out Hunter and Hayden. Hayden stayed a bit longer while Hunter went to football practice. Today was a better day for mom... Definitely an improvement over the past several days. Ill be glad when that full moon goes away... I know it sounds silly, but I firmly believe the full moon brings out the crazies and such. I hated to work on the ambulance during a full moon. She just went to bed and said, its been a good day. That makes me rest a bit easier. We will wake up and do it all again tomorrow. As always. Thankful that God has blessed us so much.
