Heres how your Nairobi Governor frustrating devolution: Today, Nairobis @KideroEvans was the only CORD governor among the more than 15 who we hobnobbing at DP Ruto Karen GoK residence to be ropped into the plan to frustrate devolution and withdraw support Council of Governors-Kenya push for referendum. There is a bonus for CORD govenors who stay away from Okoa Kenya. The plan to subvert the referendum involves being given resources (read money), publicity (read media) and as much photo opportunity with Uhuruto as possible, on condition that they withdraw from the agitation for referendum to support devolution! To rub it in, Kidero did attend the ODM joint gubernatorial and parliamentary group meeting at the BOMA HOTEL last month a meeting that unanimously passed resolutions to support the referendum, at political party level. But now, Kidero stabs his colleagues in back. He smiled with them at Boma Hotel, happily shook hands and agreed with their resolutions, but the being opportunist he is, after having been promised a running mates ticket now has forgotten his political obligations to the ODM and CORD nations. Does Nairobi need more devolution funds or not? Kidero is on record having RULED OUT the word Development from his plans for Nairobi because of budgetary constraints.
