Heres my opinion. One night in 2009 I took out the trash after I got off work from the hard Rock. As I returned from the trash to my apartment, someone put a gun to my head. As I found out because he never identified himself as a Deputy sheriff, he hand cuffed me and told me to shut the eff up. I did I was very compliant. I told the officer, I just got out of the military and was a police officer. He told me that military police is a bleeping joke and to shut the eff up. I did not have any identification on me, so I asked him to take him to my apartment to get my id. He did. Luckily my roommates go was there and she was very nice. She calmed the officer down and reassured him everything was OK. He did all this because someone had called in that someone had jumped the fence for the apartment complex. Had there been and felony committed? No. Was there any threat of death force? No. I spoke briefly to the deputy supervisor and asked for a follow up and a disciplinary report. I never got that. Im alive because I was compliant. I didnt let the deputy antagonize me into anything when he insulted me and my military status. I knew what he was doing. the rules are held with the realms of deadly force, if the criminal has intent to use or can use deadly force then, deadly force is Authorized. Just because you resist from a police man does not mean you deserve to die. Period There needs to be a retraining of officers and the right to use deadly force in America. We need to protect officers, and civilians alike. This must be done. We need true leadership in America.
