Heres the latest on the Boss truck of America which is in Temple Texas USA. Dave Fisher Owns the truck and has for lots of years . I talked to him on the phone Friday and he said he has 90% of the truck. Evidently Tyrone had lots of the parts chromed and all the upholstery redone and was ready to go to restore the truck at the time of his passing. Dave has two crates with these parts in them. Mack Abernathy who also lives nearby Temple Texas bought the boss truck from the Malone family in California after Malones accident and took all of it back to Texas with him. Then Mack sold the truck to Dave Fisher where it resides today . Lots of people have commented that it appears that someone cut the back frame and added frame ,yes you are right. Mack Abernathy cut the back off of the truck and added the new frame rails with air ride. Why someone would chop an historic truck like the boss truck,I have no idea.Any way the rear ends (The original ones) were sold off to someone else in Texas but Dave Fisher has purchased those and they are back with the Boss parts. Dave said he wants to restore the truck but is open for an offer if someone wants to purchase the truck and restore it. It is an American tragic story to think that Tyrone Malone lost his life and he lost his dream to finally build the Truckers hall of fame museum that he always wanted for the truckers of this country. All (Almost all ) of his trucks have found a home with Gary Ries in Minnesota, but poor Boss truck wound up in Texas like that. This is a crying shame as far as Im concerned. Please dont flood phone calls to David about the Boss truck unless you are in a position to buy this truck. Thank you. Kenny
