Here’s an example of why I don’t believe that government - TopicsExpress

Here’s an example of why I don’t believe that government should have any regulatory power over the private sector at all. I’m constantly talking to people amazed at my “radical view” that government should not circumvent their Constitutional power to impose regulations on private enterprise. I usually get the ridiculous reply indicting business that they would behave in an unethical manner if left unchecked by our pure, trustworthy, noble government. Suppose the architect of the Unaffordable I-Don’t-Care Act had lied to deceive people in the private sector in order to deceive them to purchase a product; like say Enron for example. And Enron only affected a tiny percentage of the people unlike Obama(doesn’t)care which has kicked hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people off the plan they currently have, and left many others with skyrocketing costs. Come January 1st I think many more will lose the plan they currently have. Do you not think that someone who did this in the private sector would be in jail – like Enron CEO, Ken Lay??? Who in the public sector has gone to jail for blatant deception imposed on us to sell us on Obama(doesn’t)care? I think it’s ridiculous to believe that government, which is inarguably the most corrupt, dishonest group of people, should regulate someone else’s ethics!
