Hesitant ! That is what comes to mind when I think of what I am about to write. I do NOT want to offend anyone, yet I want to share my experience. And if my experience can save one life or open the eyes up for others then it is worth it. Last week, I received a e-mail from a person that I was intimate with over a year ago. They proceeded to tell me that they were having medical issues and that they found out they were HIV+. They informed me that I should go get tested. So, 4 days ago I went and got a HIV test. The tests are quick and accurate. 15 mins and you get your results. As I sat there, talking to the lady who just took some blood from me, I was sadden to find out that some of the younger society really dont care, or dont understand , or think it is just like the flu. Well It isnt. I know first hand what HIV and AIDS can do to a person. I have had at least 20 of my friends pass away from AIDS, as well as a partner. So, Gay or Straight take the time to go get tested. Know the unknown. I hope this may have helped anyone out there. AIDS is out there. . I hope that my point has come across not vain. But yet educational. It is amazing what goes through your mind those 15 mins. I get tested every year.. And again I am HIV NEG.
