Hey Campers, Check this out. This recognition is long over due. I want to tell you about a special person. A person that you all know and Love. A person that embodies everything I have been trying to help all of you reach and due. Almost everyday campers I tell you I am trying to help all of you reach Super Human status. Well here is one person who as reached just that. Campers meet the amazing, the strong, the fit, the ultra runner, The best dancer in camp, =), the kindest and one of the most amazing people I know……The Super Human.... Stacey Mason! I first met Stacey about 2 years ago back when the 5pm Zilker Camp used to meet at Auditorium shores. She showed up with a set of 5-pound dumbbells and could barely do one Push-up. She gave every workout her all but during the first two weeks she was just having a really tough time. I was afraid that I was going to loose her. But she had this mentality and drive that I had never seen before in a camper. She was having a blast and enjoyed seeing what her body could do. She set goals, crushed them, and then set new goals. She just never gave up. Now she can run her mile at 6:30, she runs a marathon almost every weekend, kills her boot camp sessions, can do push-ups for days, and just a couple of weeks ago conquered her first 50 mile trail race…. Oh and then showed up to Boot Camp on Monday as if she just had a normal weekend. That’s a friggin Super Human for you right there. Stacey shows us that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself, dont put limits on yourself, and never give up. Stacey you are loved and we love the energy that you bring to camp. I can’t wait to see what’s next!!! Campers join me in Congratulating Stacey for accomplishing so much and being so amazing. Here are a few words from the Rock Star herself. When I first started Synergy Fitness Bootcamp 2 years ago, I couldn’t keep up with the rest of the campers but I never gave up. I didn’t care if I was the slowest, or the last to finish, or that Emily was running circles around me. As time went by, I started noticing changes. My endurance and speed in my running has improved significantly. I’ve been in a casual running group for years, and the coach has mentioned my noticeable improvement due to bootcamp. I never dreamed that I would run a sub-7 minute mile, and now I do it regularly. I complain a lot when I’m there, but I love every minute of it!
