Hey Facebook Peeps, this is triage coordinator Frasier checking in with a breaking news story! The first picture is of my new friend Roxy Frank. Roxy had an injury to her eye that caused a ruptured corneal ulcer. A treatment option for this type of injury is eye drops, antibiotics and using blood serum drops into the eye. In order to get blood serum, we need blood donors. Gracie (in the middle picture) and George (left picture) each graciously volunteered to donate 20 mls of blood to be spun down to separate the serum for Roxys eye drops! They each got a special treat and water after their donation and are doing great!! Roxy will need the serum drops for several weeks so Gracie and George will be able to keep donating for her! How cool is that!! I just love teamwork!! This is triage coordinator Frasier signing out after another busy day at Litkes Veterinary Service!
