Hey Family, Ive got two announcements! Number one: If youre giving online, we have a new platform to give through! GoFundMe was great for our first $10,000, but they take a total of 9.1% between GFMs fee and the WePay/PayPal processing fee. Thats quite a lot of money to lose on every donation! Now, you can give at youcaring/gatheringfamily. YouCaring is a donor-funded site, so they dont take any fees at all! WePay still takes a 3% fee, but thats significantly smaller than what we were losing with GoFundMe. I want to be the best steward of your donations as possible, and since we dont have the ability to accept credit/debit cards without going through at least one company, YouCaring seems like the best decision for us right now! Number two: Our T-shirt fund failed, which is perfectly fine with me, because I really didnt think that the shirt matched up with my mental vision of what I wanted it to look like. I have redesigned the shirt completely AND launched it on a different platform, so you have 5 choices of shirt color! There are two long-sleeve color options and three T-shirt color options.
