Hey Fishos Well the fishing has certainly started to kick into gear. The lake has been firing on all cylinders with plenty of flathead, some going 80+ cm. A thing to mention is that they are a wide spread fish so be courteous to fellow anglers and give each other room to fish. Crabs are in good numbers and there are a few good bream around, as well as some nice whiting. A big thing to remember is to match the hatch weather you choose bait or lure so a good thing to do is hang around the cleaning table and check the contents of the fishs stomachs. The inshore reefs have been producing nice numbers of reds and some cracking kings some of the hot spots being Rangoon, Windang island and Bass Point, for the more travelled the banks and the cliffs have produced fish to 30kg The rocks have had nice numbers of drummer, black fish, bream, snapper and a few nice groper. A lot of rat kings are patrolling with some keepers amongst them well worth throwing a few poppers and stick baits. Out wide was a little slow over the last weekend although the local Shellharbour Game club had a great result at the White Sands Tournament held by JBGFC. There were a few marlin tagged a good number of sharks tagged and a handful of yellowfin caught and tagged some albacore and some nice size dolphin fish. Local SGFC boat results Crook Seal Shaun Grimston and the boys won with their Bull Dolphinfish Reckless taking out champion female angler Tag and Release with Gina Cleaver Rush winning Heaviest Yellowfin tuna and also the $2250 cash shootout with that fish on Saturday This weekend is looking awesome s make time and get amongst them
