Hey!!! Just a quick Gday (so good to use that word, havent used it for 10 months!!) from Sweden, Working a heap with youth over here (mainly through a vineyard church) and really seeing some cool things happen, but i have recently (for the last year) been finding rest in writing. And I really should post some stuff... sooo...heres something short I wrote this morning. Godbless!!! Old Faces Very rarely now I remember, a time in life; when I was in strife, I thought, ‘yeah, shell be right’, thinking not to things of light, It all seemed ok, with girls, cars and beer leading me astray, I never thought those actions, I’d remember or effect today. Eventually Jesus found me, and my lifestyle still shifts to match, But consequences still remained, and that I stuffed up was just a fact, Now and then I am reminded, of things more than slightly marred, Those girls, those bars, those cars and scars, of events still locked and barred. And as these days carry on, one by one they disappear, As I forgive, beg for forgiveness, and wipe away the old tears, I am set free, I am made new, but often I forget, That often the other person, is still suffering at best. So when old things come up, I now ask God why and what for, Sometimes for him, sometimes for me, but most often for those abroad, Whom I haven’t seen for years, who are still in a world of hurt, And often a humble sorry, can start a healing of what Ive burnt. What happens next is always beautiful, as others are set free, Old faces come alive, with old wrongs tossed in the sea, And as I grow I start to see, worth in forgiveness and humility, it’s clear to me and meant to be, a life lived by all who breathe.
