Hey Mike Ball, Bill Holtzclaw, Howard Sanderford, Mac McCutcheon, Senator Arthur Orr, and the rest of the Alabama legislature--Other states understand and are taking their education back. Why arent we???????? The Constitution of the United States of America did not entrust the education of our children to the central bureau also known as the Federal government. It was entrusted to the states and local communities to determine how best to meet the educational needs of their children. COMMON CORE IS NOT IT!!!! The Alabama State Board of Education IS under your oversight. The legislature controls the purse strings. You have a responsibility to stop what is against the will of the people. We did not elect the overreaching Bice. As such, we rely on you to actually do your job of oversight and STOP him from further damaging our childrens education. He is preying on our minority children with his Plan 2020 and our Special Needs children. You have a moral and ethical responsibility to stop him. P.S. Mr. Sanderford, the improvements in our scores are numbers generated BEFORE Common Core was implemented. They are not a result of the convoluted math of Common Core nor are they the result of the intellectually lacking literature of Common Core. We thankfully are not yet under the twisted lie of Common Core socialism which will teach our children that our inalienable rights no longer come from GOD the Creator but the government nor are we under the Global Warming lie of the science texts. So please stop spreading falsehoods that Common Core has in any way improved the results of Alabama children on standardized tests because it has not nor will it ever.
