Hey...Rowdy J. here. So, weve all suffered thru the cold of the last few days. And typically, cold weather makes people turn to their favorite comfort foods. Me, for example? My grandparents came to Dayton from Hungary at the turn of the 20th Century. So one of my favorite comfort foods is authentic hungarian goulash. I have a crock pot recipe for it that I make in the winter time with about 2 pounds of beef tips that I cook for, like 15 hours till the beef is just falling apart tender. Then I add onions, mushrooms, imported sweet hungarian paprika, some ground mustard, salt, ketchup, maybe some chopped carrots if I have them, a dash of worcester sauce and sit it all on a bed of either noodles or dumplings. A full crock pot makes about 5 ot 6 servings, and usually, I eat every one of em over a weeks time. So, how bout you? Whats your favorite winter comfort food?
