Hey everyone! Just wanted to add some music notes from todays rehearsal. Pure Imagination: Gus please count, aim for downbeats, and dont go flat/ Golden Age: Oompas can be a little louder. Remember where the song cuts off. Candy Man: Great recovery after skipping lyrics, Marie! Cheer Up, Charlie: Gus- you fidgeted a lot in the scene before this song? Are you frozen during the scene? Cam- Count and be louder and more confident!!! Mel and Andrew, be louder. When you walk over and get Sarah you can lean into her mic a little bit and that will help. Grandparents- good job on volume. This song is a whole lot better than yesterday. Great work guys!! Golden Ticket: Oompas be louder but also listen to the characters that have mics to be sure you are in the right place. Also, Gabe is cueing almost all of your entrances so that will help you guys! Is there anyway to speed up the lines a bit? This sounds a lot better overall, though! At the Gates (Imagination Reprise): Gus please count. Make sure you know where it switches to cut time. Vickee- great reaction to the contract! Mark if you could be a little more gentle with props, that would be great. Remember that theyre only cardboard! Oompa 1: I cant hear you guys. Remember that everyone is singing the beginning now for volume purposes. Theres No Knowing: Gus dont rush. Parents dont drag! Great scream at the end! Oompa 2: Remember that everyone is singing the beginning now for volume purposes. Oompa 3: Remember that everyone is singing the beginning. Caitlin- lets go over this tomorrow before the run, youre singing it higher than you need to. Oompa 4: Good job Alison in the scene before the song starts! Know how this one is different from the other oompa songs! Oompa/Candy Dreams: We will work on this tomorrow before the run. Please review the lyrics before rehearsal. Finale: Learn your stuff! It was better after we restarted it the third time! ***Oompas- when in doubt about the singing, listen for Natalie Joly, Maggie Barto, Maggie Gourville, or Amy Shea. You guys have been spot on- nice work! You guys have put a lot of work into this show! Overall, its a really good show! Put a little more into memorization and it will all fit together. Keep up the great work everyone!!
