Hey everyone, Mr. Turner (with 4-H) let me know about a really unique opportunity that we thought would be a great chance for our group. Are you familiar with the Capital Christmas Tree? If not, here is a website for you to go check out: capitolchristmastree/about/ This tree will be traveling from Washington State to Washington DC this year and it is make a two hour stop in Knoxville. Mr. Turner thought our group might be interested in going with a 4-H banner and doing a group photo with the tree. It will be at the Pilot Travel Center on Strawplains Pike, just off the 398 exit. If you would like to take part in this, please meet us there by tree (it will be on a trailer) at 12:00pm on November 21. This will not take long, just enough time for everyone to take a look and to get a group picture with the tree and banner. I dont recall ever having this opportunity before, so not sure it we will ever have it again. Would make a great lesson, learning about the capitol tree, what type of tree, how they transport, etc. If you have any questions you can call me at 865-604-4829, please leave a message if I do not answer.
