I think stand up comedians are the unsung prophets to what is going on in the real world. Most of these jokes that guys like Chris Rock and Katt Williams tell, theres a real message behind them. I know throughout the years comedians like Chris Rock caught a lot of flack for using heavy racial overtones in their act. But most of it is documented facts, we just choose to ignore it. For instance, in C. Rocks 2004 album Never Scared, he brakes down wealth inequality and how it relates to race. So all this revamped talk about socio-economic and systemic racism, this isnt new folks. Entertainers like Chris Rock been talking about this for decades.
