Hey everyone, Our first year of running has been largely successful as we have received considerable interest and support from many people, and Id like to thank you all for that. Weve had a number of events with great turnouts, and the consequent thought provoking discussions and interminglings of like-minded people have facilitated deeper understandings of psychedelic substances, as well as provided great opportunities for new friendships. I greatly hope that this club will continue into the future at SFU; though the potential for this happening is largely reliant on some of you stepping forward. Starting in September I will no longer be an SFU student (Ive transferred to UBC), therefore we are in need of new executives. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to become more involved with the SFU community, and take up a great leadership role. You would also be playing a role in the destigmatization of psychedelics, and the spreading of awareness of their myriad potentialities to the many who have been misinformed. As is evident by the activity on this page, there would very likely be a lot of support and interest in future events, and executive positions are primarily a symbolic role; apart from basic duties such as officially registering the club, booking rooms, dealing with funds when necessary, etc., you will simply be the medium through which the desires of our members will brought together and articulated. It will certainly not be an extremely time demanding position, even more so if more than one of you step up. Please message me for more information if you are interested. Also, I would like to hold a social event for the members of the club prior to the start of the upcoming semester. However, I am not sure of the ideal place to do this. If anyone has any ideas please comment below, and I will set a definite time and place for an event some time next week by this Friday latest. Thanks
