Hey everyone. You may have already heard but I just wanted to let everyone know that Wes had a heart attack earlier today. By Gods grace, Paula happened to call Wes as he was starting to feel major symptoms and she was able to alert 911. He was rushed over to St. Jude and underwent surgery immediately to alleviate his 100% blockage. Thankfully the operation was successful and he is recovering well. A few of us were able to go visit him and he was awake, alert and joking around with us. That being said, Wes will be in the hospital until tomorrow afternoon and will likely be on bed rest for a few days after that. I talked to Wes and we agreed that college group should still meet this week, even though we will be missing our fearless leader. Please keep the Porter family in your prayers this week as they continue to go through this recovery process with Wes. I hope everyone is able to make it on Thursday and Ill update the group if anything changes from here on out. Ps. Wes brownie tasted horrible, I was really doing him a favor by eating it.
