Hey guys! As Jenny Sedletska from Group A was announcing last week, there has been a meeting with the IB profs and one class representative of every semester to discuss issues that you might have or the professors with the IB program. As already mentioned unfortunately only one class representative was allowed to attend the meeting - so I will be passing on Jennys information as good as possible to you. - Many professors said that we should have reached a certain level of maturity in university and therefore respect the rules of no phones during class, minimize the times we need to leave the lecture to go to the bathroom and be on time for class! - Furthermore there was the discussion of adding a Consulting major, since many of you did not feel confident in what major to choose if they want to pursue a career in consulting. As Mr. Kapmeier already mentioned during class there will be no such thing as a consulting major, since basically every major will allow you to pursue a career in consulting, as long as you bring the academic (grades) and personal prerequisites. - Besides from a consulting major, students were asking for a Entrepreneurship major, unfortunately this will also be no possibility since the resources for that are by far to limited. - Another concern was the exams in January, many of you would have had rather placed them in December. This is a fair point, because nobody likes to be stressed with exam concerns during xmas, though it is not possible due to administrative reasons regarding the scheduling of the Aula times prior to January. - The last point has been the change from a presentation to an exam in marketing. As we heard students are not feeling confident what to expect in the exams - this we will discuss with the Marketing professors and provide you the information asap. Also many of the international students were annoyed that they use so many german commercials, anecdotes etc. - we also address this problem to them.
