Hey, it is only going to get hotter, much hotter by the end of this century .... and life as we know it now cannot possibly continue to exist over the next few decades .... The only thing we can do to survive is by drastically and IMMEDIATELY instituting Severe changes in our energy sources and our carbon footprints. Plantings on our flat roofs, trees in our parking lots, streets, median strips, and home grown vegetable gardens, etc. as well as organic farming, elimination of coal and oil and gas from our fuel sources would be a very small start, but still a start .... coupled with an immediate push for solar/wind/water powered energy sources. Alternative fueled vehicles and the new interest in carbon "sinks" which entrap and contain it ..... But we have to start now, not tomorrow, or next week. if we could land human beings on the moon within a few years time .... when that was considered IMPOSSIBLE and Unrealistic ..... we can develop an immediate non carbon fuel based civilization, and keep a foothold on survival through these next coming decades and hopefully, if we are successful over the next 10, 20 years, humanity and our companion creatures/flora will be able to survive into the next century ..... or maybe not .................
