Hey shot science I am 16, 181 cm (511 1/2). I live in Australia and want to play college basketball. I know at my height I need to be a PG, but I dont have the Court Vision So I need to be a lights out shooter. Today I shot about 350 3s and was about 50%, now that is not looking at the ring for 3 secs then shooting, that was automatic shots. I was shooting step backs with combinations before hand (One of my combinations was a flat back attack, then a crossover, then pull up from the 3) I was about 50-60%. I was pulling up from 30ft from the rim and shooting about 30-40%. But I played a game, and I went 0/6. This wasnt just a bad shooting night, for the past 6 games I have only hit 1 three, and shot about 30 shots. Why cant I make the shots? Its not the hand in the face because tonight all of the shots had the defender at least 10 feet away from me. I have taken my time, and have shot automatic. During state training I can hit my 3s when we scrimmage. I hit a 3 with a 66 player with a hand in the face? Its also not technique, because I shoot the same shot every time in games and practice Why cant I make my 3s?
