Hey to all my friends and family. Figured I would update everyone on my life and what is about to happen. So I have applied for a transfer to VA San Diego on several occasions. (4) To be exact and every time I do NOT get the position. This was my last attempt to move back to San Diego so my kids can grow up surrounded by their family. Unfortunately the VA has failed me YET AGAIN, and I have been forced to consider another avenue. I just learned of their decision and with that said, DON Civilian Police stepped up to the plate and has made me a job offer at Point Loma. Within the next 3 weeks, I will be accepting the position and processing with the DON. Within 6 to 8 weeks, I should have a transfer date and will be saying my goodbyes to the VA Police. It will be very sad to leave the VA, but the VA has left me little or no choice. I maintain my position as a 0083 Federal Law Enforcement Officer and even go up one level by going to DON, so its realistically a promotion. But most importantly, it brings me and my wife closer together than before and keeps us both close to friends and family. I appreciate all the support I have received over the last 3 years and could not have made it through the rough times without some of you. Thanks again for the help and support and know I love you all.
