Hey universe: Im trying to come up with a class description teaching song lyrics as poetry. Any weigh-ins on best lyricists of all time? (all time meaning since the 14th century when Europe supposedly broke lyric into song and poem) (&duh: Im absolutely not interested in privileging high over low lyrics, and Id rather not have a totally Western corpus if possible... although Im ok with the parameter of anglophone lyrics)
