What do you all think?: Hi, Yesterday, the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobains death, I made public a Dedication Compilation website. Its purpose is to artistically express our feelings- usually buried- about suicide, overdose, mental illness, and those weve lost including ourselves. He was a great artist, a father... I saw him in a restaurant once- I bet he was a really nice person. Senseless, tragic loss. His death reminded me of Kurt-, who I knew- a great artist, a sweet soul, a father, a senseless, tragic loss. Then I wracked my brain and remembered a forgotten boyfriend who had died of an accidental overdose. Then I talked to all my friends, and all of us have lost friends and family to suicide or overdose. Its sad, it hurts, we dont talk about them, we try not to remember. I couldnt even look at a picture of Kurt Cobain until now. So I ask you now to spend a short time meditating on this subject. You might be surprised at what comes up in your mind. Write it down. Me and my friends (that includes you) are putting everything up online for a truly free-style collaboration. If you like, make some music to my words, write your own song, make a collage about the friend you lost... All is wanted: mp3, JPEG, text, audio, PDF, imagery, WAV, video, dreams, TIFF, secrets, letters, promises and songs. Ill start, then you go. Ok-- now! I need your help.
