Hi - Okay, some folks desire to know how I went from being, for MANY years, a die hard, ride or die, sold out to the gospel Christian. Yep, I know that Bible -- VERY well -- read it through more than once, and can still quote it. I was sure one of the folks who had a devoted love affair with the Lord and Bible content. While on Facebook, I met a few folks who we gained deep connections with one another. One such dear friend is (I haven’t gotten his permission to use his name here so I’ll call him Charles.) Pause to give a shout out to one of my main and dear -- awakened homies, “Hey, Charles!” Charles was another die-hard Christian who loved the gospel and Bible content. One day, I went on Charles’ YouTube channel and saw that he’d liked a particular video teaching from this man who’d I’d never heard of. I was stunned at what the man shared. I excitedly FB inboxed Charles to inquire. And from there we started having these marathon phone conversations, as we both discovered that MUCH of what we’d long believed and long been taught -- wasn’t truth. Neither he nor I were depending on each other, but rather we shared, and went on our own individual journeys to learn more. We read and viewed some of the same material, but we also separately read and viewed material and videos. Then we’d get on the phone and compare notes, etc. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been an avid reader, which turned into being an avid researcher and examiner. I love watching true life programs of solving murders and other crimes. Yep, I love me some investigative programs. Anyhow, Charles got convinced of some things before I did and vice versa. We kept digging for evidence -- in hot pursuit of truths. One thing that I especially love and appreciate about Charles is that he NEVER pressured me to believe as he believed. He willingly shared, but was mindful to also tell me to seek for myself. I would ask him certain questions and get answers, but on other occasions, he’d tell me to learn for myself. I’m so glad that he engaged with me that way. We continued to ask and to answer questions from one another, and to share of our proven discoveries. After awhile, I started a blog, Journeyawakenings.blogspot. For those inclined, you can go there to learn more about my belief system. But what I believe isn’t a MAJOR for others; it’s a MAJOR for me. What should be anyone’s MAJOR is the INDIVIDUAL and PERSONAL journey. No two of us are completely alike. Do YOU -- and you can sure find TRUE FREEDOM . . . if you REALLY desire to have it. That involves time investments, among other vital things. Too many folks believe what’s shared and don’t make choices to dig, examine, investigate, view, research, etc. That’s unwise, indeed, and can be potentially or -- really harmful to minds, spirits and bodies. For years, I just believed because . . . No more! DOING love and truth is FREEDOM.
