Hi Everyone The fighting on the Harfield Village Association Facebook page over the last two weeks has been very disturbing and distressing for me. I am very seldom on the HVA Facebook page so am not always able to respond timeously, but as an administrator and founder of the page I feel like I take responsibility for it. PLEASE, the page is a community notice board and must be used solely this purpose. PLEASE, ALL posts made on that page must be made in a respectful and decent manner. Political, racist, bigoted, homophobic or remarks of a defamatory nature are TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and must be reported to the administrators immediately for action (and me in particular), rather than a vitriolic conversations between members on the page. Hopefully, going forward, people will be more cautious about how they comment on this Facebook page and we can all learn from the experience. We have such an amazing little community, lets keep it that way and make the headlines for all the right reasons like our community spirit, our outreach programmes, our support for local NGO’s and assistance to Rosmead Primary School, our action of keeping the village clean, green and beautiful !
