Hi FB family and friends! Jason and I again want to thank you so much for your prayers. Keep them coming please as I am experiencing breathing difficulties and still have a good week or two until a full recovery. We wanted to share about our lil miracle Abigail. It was discovered that her placenta consisted of 2 1/2 placentas and that neither were viable on their own. Instead of one placenta in which a cord would have attached to...Abbys cord consisted of 4 unprotected vessels...2 from 1 placenta and 2 from the other placenta....they then combined outside in the thin membrane area and went and attached to her. This is what caused the abnormal hormone issues in the beginning and caused me to become very ill. It is not something that was able to be picked up on ultrasound. They asked to keep my cord for examination and study at the time of delivery. We had numerous staff visit us after the delivery and share with us how much of a miracle our baby is. The delivery midwife came by and personally told us there was no explanation for her survival and she was just a miracle!!! All advised us that they had never seen this b4....most of which had been in labor and delivery for years. We feel extremely blessed to have Abigail here with us and praise God for our lil miracle! ...and Emily Livesay, her hands continue to stay right at her face!!!!!
