Hi Grace Thanks for registering for the Mitre 10 MEGA BIG Pumpkin Competition! Now that you’ve got your special BIG Pumpkin seeds you need to plant them right away. If you leave it too late they won’t grow in time. To help get you started here are some top tips: Where to plant your seeds? You can plant your seeds anywhere you have space. Remember they can grow really big so the bigger the space the better Try to pick somewhere sunny as pumpkins need lots of sunlight all day long Space out your seeds about 2-4 metres apart so they have plenty of room Watering and feeding your pumpkin Plants get food from soil so to help your pumpkin grow really big you should make sure your soil has all the food it needs. Adding compost is one of the best things you can do to help your pumpkin grow. Pumpkins also need lots of water. Make sure you keep your soil moist but take care not to drown them.
