Hi I am a former British Serviceman. I served 10 years with the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards and was fortunate enough to see many parts of the world during my service. In 2011 though, I was shot several times whilst away on duty, resulting in the loss of my right leg. After two years of rehabilitation and 24 operations to date, I was medically discharged in 2013. After several ventures onto different paths, I finally found the one I want to stay on-Disability Bodybuilding. Its relatively new in the UK and still largely unknown. I competed myself, for the first time this year and was thrilled to bits, to win my first competition at Pure Elite. It has opened up so many new doors of opportunity and 2015 promises to be a busy year, with 5 competitions Ill be competing in so far, two of which, will be alongside able bodied athletes. My big aim for 2015 is to help our category grow within the sport and hopefully appealing to other people out there with disabilities to take a leap of faith, enter a disability bodybuilding competition and not look back! It wont be something people regret and I have set up a page to provide information on upcoming competitions, dates, locations, how to enter and of course, people can contact myself through the page for anymore information. Im positive this is a category offering great promise and I hope people take a look and want to be a part of it too. Thank you https://facebook/MarksmithBB
