Hi, I am newly married and have an issue that has been bothering me. My husband likes to have fun and hang out with his friends and sometimes stays out all night especially during the weekends. I have never had a problem with it because I dont want to take away his fun and stop him from being around his friends. He used to enjoy doing this as a single man so I dont want to be the married woman that ruined it for him. I, on the other hand have had to cut off most of my friends especially the single ones just because their idea of fun does not appeal to my husband, a few times he has said I should act like a married woman and that there is nothing my single friends have to offer me to help my marriage. Recently, my cousin invited me for a girls night out at her new home to which her husband agreed and suggested I could use the guest room if I wanted. We would most likely be watching movies all night and just generally having fun. When I told my husband about this, he said he forbids me to go and that its not properly to stay out all night outside my matrimonial home. He knows my cousin and her husband and I dont think he has a problem with them so I dont understand why his attitude. We do not have any children yet and I miss my life hanging out with friends especially when I have to be on my own during the weekend nights when he is out with his own friends. I have discussed this calmly with him and even made a joke about him hanging out all night with his friends. Am I being unreasonable with making an issue out of this.
