Hi One of my client’s is working with teenagers to support them in identifying and securing their ideal careers. So that he can better understand the unique challenges and concerns of this group (and their parents), he is currently running a short survey and I’ve offered to help him reach his target audience. Before becoming a coach I had 34 years experience teaching teenagers, so I know quite a lot about their needs. I am a qualified life coach, which means that I have learnt the skills, through working with my clients, that enable me to help teenagers make decisions which are right for them. Sometimes teenagers find it difficult to know what they want to do as a career and receive either too little or too much advice. It is then quite possible that they become confused and uncertain as to what is the best course of action open to them. I can help them to search for careers information for themselves by encouraging them to explore the resources that are relevant to their skills and abilities. Students then find that they have the space to think things through for themselves and, because I listen impartially, I find that students begin to feel better about themselves and much more confident about finding what they want.
