Hi. Thank you for adding me . I am involved in rescue and rehoming in Ireland and interested in breed lines so keep a record of all the tattooed greyhounds who come my way before moving on to being homed or into rehoming groups. Occasionally one makes its way into my own gang . The most recent addition is Kew Diamond ( Top honcho daughter ) At 9, last year , Diamond found herself in an Irish pound as a surrender which means she could be put down immediately as is the case for many Greys in Ireland . Diamond was in a pound who worked with rescue groups and came into my rescue group, Halfway There Hounds, 12 months ago. Last September she came home and joined my own gang. Not always an easy ride as she can be a Cranky old bat who could start a fight with her own shadow ! But things settled down. In the first few months she never left the dogs room when we all moved over to the lounge of an evening. Then she had a light bulb moment and joined us in the lounge discovering the floor had under floor heating !! She would then demand to move into the lounge after her dinner every evening refusing to leave the room until the next morning, but she always slept on the floor never following the lead of the others onto the furniture. For what ever reason she had another of her light bulb moments last night and when I got up this morning I was greeted by her looking very Smug from the big sofa ! 10 years old and experiencing a sofa at last !
