Karthigai Deepam ( கார்த்திகை தீபம்) festival is celebrated mainly in Tamil Nadu, on Poornima ( full moon day) of the tamizh month Karthigai (mid-November to mid-December) as per Tamil calendar. Karthigai Deepam is one of the oldest festivals celebrated by the Tamil people in the Tamil month of Karthigai.
