Hi all We are very pleased to announce that we have secured Mr Eddie Gallagher to speak on the subject of “Violence against Parents”. Eddie is in high demand and we have been lucky enough to persuade him to take time out from his client bookings on this Saturday, in order to present to us about his fantastic work and why he is known in the media as “Australia’s foremost expert on violence to parents”. This is a ‘not too be missed presentation” and we hope that you can attend. Eddie Gallagher is a Psychologist, Social Worker, Family Therapist, Trainer, Supervisor, Student, Writer, Parent and Foster Carer. He has 35+ years experience in his fields, has counselled both offenders and victims of Family Violence and is very interested in the effects of DV on children. Violence to parents from children and young people is a particular specialism of Eddie’s and he has studied, written and taught extensively on this topic and has developed a group program for parents called Who’s in Charge? which is now being used interstate and internationally. Eddie also has an interest in intellectual disability and autism, having worked with a number of families where one or both parents have an intellectual disability. He has delivered training and groups on a wide variety of topics.
