Hi all, its been awhile since I have posted, but just wanted to share my story. Gabbie had an emergency splenectomy about 8 months ago and we were given great news that the tumor on her spleen was benign. Tonight Gabbie once again was acting sickly so we took her to the emergency vet. Turns out the histopath was read wrong and it in fact was hemangiosarcoma. Poor baby girl had a new tumor growing on her stomach and was bleeding out. She passed peacefully tonight with family surrounding her. I feel so lucky to have had the extra months that I spent with her. When I fostered her 2 years ago I had no idea I would turn into a foster failure and fall in love with her. So glad I was able to provide a happy life for her. RIP Gabbie, we love you.
