Hi as I mentioned to a few of you in the pub late last night. (I turned up right at the end) I have a couple of ideas for what doug soc could do next year. I probably wont be around by then but what the hey! Anyhow Idea 1: Short story contest. We have done stuff like this already on the night but given Douglas Adams greatest achievements being his works of literature I think he deserves a bit more than the scribblings in Crayon we produce on a Wednesday night (the crayon scribblings are lovely and Im not mocking them but I think for Douglas we could do better). The theme (or lack of one) culd be sent out by e-mail and each person reads there story out loud or has a friend read it for them if they are shy. Maybe a prize or something for the best one based on funny, clever concepts how Douglas Adamsy it is.... Idea 2: I still cant remember, there was something I swear!
