Hi everyone, I am looking for a McKenzie Friend or someone that knows their way around family court procedures, orders, applications and the merging of public and private law proceedings in the Reading, Berkshire area. Someone that has experience or knowledge of children on the Autistic Spectrum would be a real bonus. Also knowledge of LA inc schools and NHS policy, procedure, duty and obligations towards children with disabilities and their families particularly when involved in child care proceedings. She is in the early stages of court procedures at ICO but has had SS involvement in the past where the case was eventually closed giving her a clear bill of health a couple of years ago. But they are back again though and this time they mean business with the usual crates full of pure and utter bullshit. The legal advise she has been getting is a joke and geared right towards walking her straight into the lions mouth. Its a fairly typical case with the usual template we see time and time again up and down the country. The merging of a private and public case though is an area that I am not too familiar with I have to say. Any advice would be greatly appreciated of course. This is a very intelligent and competent lady with a heart of gold. She knows her stuff but lacks confidence in what she does know. Like many of us just needs that extra bit of reassurance, support and guidance through that minefield of family court that we are all too familiar with. Im trying to arrange a couple of days to go stay with her shortly. Its just unfortunate that neither of us have the means or the funds to meet up regularly enough or attend meetings etc. Im usually available over the phone most days but there is nothing like that face to face interaction and support over a cup of tea or accompany at a meeting. So thats why we are looking for someone more local. What she DOES NOT NEED is a glory hunter or someone to take over. Like I said she just needs someone with some know-how to help. Bullshitters beware!!! because believe me, this girl will suss you out in two seconds flat. Shes like me in the sense that she does not tolerate nonsense but will go out of her way to help anyone that needs it and is genuine.
