Hi everyone! I hope the first week, very low carbohydrate diet phase went well and you were able to jump start your body transformation. You now should have all received your phase II (weeks 2&3) meal plans from me. If for some reason you havent received it, please let me know asap! During phase II you will be at the same calorie range (unless you have discussed changing it with me), however you will see some carbohydrate choices added back in. The carbohydrate are in the form of fruits, starchy vegetables (peas, sweet potatoes), beans and legumes, yogurt. This is still considered a lower carb diet, with only up to 30% of calories coming from carbohydrates in this plan. If you are sticking with the calorie range, but making your own meal and snack choices, you want to aim for about 30% calories, from carbohydrates, 35% calories from protein and 35% calories from fat- please dont be stressed if you are not hitting this exactly (that would be quite a feat to achieve!), as it is just a goal to aim towards to make sure you are on the right track. This phase is designed to give you a little more energy to get through those workouts, but to still keep a higher protein intake to maximize fat loss and encourage lean body mass maintenance and increases.
