Hi everyone, I would like to consult you about the house renting procedure via the facebook groups or rental websites. As I havent moved to Den Haag yet, I will be renting based on online communication with the landlord or the agency about the procedure which is to see the pictures, signing an english contract and transferring the rent + deposit via international banking transaction. As I cannot see the real deal, I am always worried to be somehow caught up in a scheme. My question is how do I make sure that the contracts I receive from the landlords are legally protecting my money that I transfer? I really have no idea how these things work in the Netherlands. Any ideas or any experience that youd like to share with me regarding the online renting procedure as a foreigner?
