Hi everyone. Im working on a short in Cardiff next week. We pretty much have everything sorted. Crew, Cast, Location, Equipment (Though some additional lighting would be great). But we need help with props. Here is the brief from our Art Director. If you have any of this stuff and can help by lending it to us please do get in touch. Hello everyone! As you know this is micro-budget and Im spending as little as possible. Here is a list of furniture and set decoration that I am looking for. If you have anything on this list that you are happy for us to use, we will love you forever. Ideally if you able to lend us anything let me know ASAP so I can cross it off the list. My biggest worry is fairy lights - will need loads. Extensions leads while we mention it. Grotto Fairy lights – non LED/traditional and the LED. Bring ALL the lights you have! They will be used for the party scene as well. A chair suitable for a Santa throne, so something upright with a wooden high back. Traditional/antique. Christmas tree – white or green don’t care. Tree Decorations. Tinsel Floor lights to shine up the white fabric that will draped on the walls. (maybe with blue Gels?) Already wrapped presents to go under tree and in Santa’s sack. 1970s little girl’s room Bench wicker/soft to go in the bay window. If not found then I will hire. Cushions and throws - Soft furnishing like girly cushions, hand made/ knitted / crochet things. 70s toys. We already have a few coming, but if you want to contribute then that would be fab! Bedside table. No IKEA. Old and simple. Desk Desk chair Small bookshelf 70s books. (planning to bring my own but if you have any penguin and Enid Blyton then yes please!) 70s photo album. Just in case we go back to the original idea. I’ve seen a few but someone might have one better. House party in kitchen Fairy lights (see note before) FOOD! Lots of it. On plates! It maybe that I will be doing this anyway. but more the merrier. Bottle of whatever you would normally bring to a party, Vodka/Wine/baby champs/absinthe! Anything! If you have empty bottles bring those! A punch bowl Modern man’s room Chest of Drawer 2 x bedside tables 2 x lamps coasters ashtray? Guitar and stand? Has someone got a generic/not-particularly-eye-catching-or-creative framed band poster/ typical art work like the Rockefeller builders on a girder, something IKEA. Mens grooming products - deodorant, hair clay, cologne, combs, whatever. Pretty much everything including the litter that you have on the top of your chest of drawers. Thank you in advance!
