Hi everyone, my name is Jon Darrall-Rew. I, with my good friend, Dustin DiPerna, have recently initiated an integrally informed project called Synergy Forum (synergyforum.org/). Synergy Forum is dedicated to the integration of spiritual awakening and integral global activism. I’m posting here today as we are looking to initiate some regular discussion and engagement around the transformation of the global economic system. We are partnering with the global activist, international lawyer, political-economist, author and initiator of the Himalayan Consensus and African Consensus, Laurence Brahm, to release a stream of videos over the next months to go alongside the release of his new book, Fusion Economics. The first of these is posted below. In his global work, Laurence Brahm presents an alternative way to the economic practices and thinking that brought us to this point. Holistic, yet grounded and straightforward, Laurence’s work calls for a turn away from an economic system dangerously steeped in ideology, stymied by politics, and prone to fomenting violence. With such projects as the Himalayan consensus, the African Consensus and in Fusion Economics, Brahm has outlined a new global consensus based on pragmatism, common sense, and grass-roots realities that require a profound change in values and different measurements of success. Drawing on his experience overseeing Chinas transformation from socialism to market economy and its current Green Growth National Policy, Brahm suggests a synergistic integration of western and eastern economic systems. One of the reasons we see this type of exploration as so important is that we recognise that one of the primary fulcrums on which the present system stands is the economic system. We hope that working in this way can further the global conversation humanity is entering into about developing new paradigms that support and nourish the many rather than just the few. Additionally, we see this stream of videos as the first in a larger process where we aim to provide more visibility for and further the conversations initiated by global activists who’s work flows from the wholeness of Source connection. Our aim with this is to initiate conversation and more and more wide scale participation in grounding the shifts humanity is calling for. We recognise that the Integral community has crucial insights and perspectives to share in this dialogue. So, please feel encouraged to comment and offer your thoughts on the videos we post. https://youtube/watch?v=3xBM05QSpV8&feature=youtu.be
