Hi everyone, we hope all are doing well. Ive got a good thorough update here for everything thats going on, lots of stuff. First of all, the kitties are doing great. Ranger Joes & Cyruss ears have healed up very nicely, no one else has any issues other than the ear mites. Everyone will be getting treated for that this week, just have to wait for it to come in to the vets office. Then everyone will be treated and I have ear drops to help clear up any residual irritations that may be left over. This treatment will also help prevent pretty well any other kind of bug or parasite to bother them too. So for now everyone is is doing great. Here is a little video of Elvira being a cutie (not hard for her lol ) and shes doing great too. Shes growing up real fast too. Im going to have to try and get her in for her spaying soon too. But otherwise shes doing great too. Now on to the big stuff. Things here are now going to get very tense with the situation thats happening here. There is a new bylaw coming into effect on January first that is going to make everyone here license your cat, indoor or outdoor it apparently doesnt matter. Its $15.00 per spayed or neutered kitty and $50.00 if your kitty isnt spayed or neutered. Now for me it would take $500.00 to license everyone here, but thats not the big problem. Even if I had the money right now I cant do that. The bylaw that only allows 3 kitties prevents me from doing. If I try to get everyone licensed under me theyd obvious then know about everyone and then theyd try to force me to choose 3 and they would take and kill the rest. Theres no way on this earth that I would ever allow that to happen, ever. The only way to get around the license issue is to get the sanctuary registered and get the special permit that allows me to have more than 3, plus once the sanctuary is registered it will exempt us from licensing everyone. Everyone is tattooed by the vet and I have all that information which allows them to be identified if they ever did get out. So now I have to really rapidly speed up the process to register and get the sanctuarys permit. I have found out that I can start it my friends basement as a temporary location until such time we have the permanent location done. As for it being in my friends basement there already is a room there that I can use as the office/records keeping place etc. and all,I have to do is make sure it meets basic requirements and codes. Which thankfully it does meet quire a few already and should take much to put up fast to get us through. Hes been impressed with the care I give them and how clean I keep them, he knows how much I work too and understands how important they are to me to. So hes going to help out too, by letting me use the basement to get started temporarily, and help keep them safe too. So now for the short term it looks like Im going to be super busy trying to get all the paperwork, fees, information and anything else Ill need to get this underway fast. Im really overloaded now so Ive got to be super careful and not mess anything up at all with anything. Really sure could use some help here with everything. :( Its really hard because theres no one here I can sit down and talk with and just share time with here about everything, plus this time of year is pretty tough. Everyone is busy with Xmas and family stuff. Unfortunately theres not going to be much of an Xmas here. Ill be either working or getting the registration/permit stuff done and of course taking care of the fur kids. I am going to ask my family that instead of any gifts if they would like to help with getting the registration and permit done. I have some already left from the treatment money that was sent by a lovely lady to help the kitties get their treatment. Im not sure on what it will cost totally as there is several steps to go through and Im going to try and rush the process if possible. So if anyone would like to help us with that process it would be greatly appreciated. I have no choice but to get it done now, I wont let anything happen to my babies.
