Hi folks - its been a long week - sorry for the lack of updates. Little Dani has kept us in the barn doing round the clock care the first few days. Shes crashed a few times, lost appetite, ran a fever, in general, just felt like hell. Shes not out of the woods yet, but she is still eating and drinking and we continue to watch her closely. Well run some ideas by our vet tomorrow to make sure theres nothing were missing that could help her more than time, itself. (And food of course.) As most of you know, we follow the UC Davis refeeding protocol. Refeeding syndrome will take its toll around days 7-10, so Dani is entering her most critical stage this week. Lets hope we didnt get to her too late. These pictures were taken today. They do show weight gain, but she is still extremely weak.
