Hi guys, thanks for letting me in :) Long time Trek fan, enjoyed ST 2009 but was unhappy with the tech side of it. I have issues with ST:ID, STV:TFF, ST: Generations for various reasons, and felt STII: TWOK and STVI:TUC were over militaristic. For the record I think Karl Urban, Zach Quinto, Simon Pegg and so on are great in their roles. I personally feel ST:ID would have worked better if Benedict was playing a different character to Khan, as he was fantastic as a villain, just not, for me, Khan. I am very glad the two new films are bringing new fans in who can then be introduced to TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT :) I will warn you though, really not a fan of the reboot Enterprise (and find its a shame they didnt go with one of the earlier versions during development as shown in the Magazine that came with the Eaglemoss NCC-1701 alternative universe special.) I think Roberto Orci could bring us a great film next time as he is a long-time Trek fan - but hoping the Enterprise gets a refit to bring the neck forward and sort out the nacelles! :) For reference, I am not a fan of the 1701-B or Voyager either, but there you go. I hope that this group has proper discussions without some of the out of hand silliness that has spread in others, and hope that there is respect for not just Trek in all its forms but also Doctor Who, and Transformers especially as I am a Brit and hugely into G1 Transformers :D Favourite Trek Characters: TOS: Lt.
