Hi lil feather merchants! Well... another gal left me! Yowsa, I last saw Ms. Greenjeans yesterday, on 9/12. I went out, as I usually do in the earlier morning, to take the weather and she was no longer on the Dwarf Kurrajong where she had bee since the first day I saw it. [Refer to the first image, a COMBI-image with the left portion sawing it all... the plant cart with the Dwarf Kurrajong, the 4x4 post supporting the porch roof, and the Desert Kurrajong to the right. The right part of the COMBI shows the G-hopper on the 4x4... note the hole on this portion and see it on the left part of the COMBI. There is also an arrow on the left part of the COMBI and it is pointing to the G-hopper.] The second image shows Ms. Greenjeans amongst the leaves of the Desert Kurrajong (Brachychiton gregorii), native to Ozs Red Centre, andit was the last image I took of her. So what happened to her? She could have taken off to find tastier chow and/or try to run into a suitable mate... OR perhaps she was hassled by a bird and flew off to escape... OR perhaps she is taking part in a terminally new experience, that of traveling through the digestive track of said avian... who knows? The only thing Id bet on at NOT happening to her would be her being eaten by the two largest individuals of their species that have worked m yard: Sammy [3rd image], a very good-size Desert Spiny Lizard ---Sammy being short for Sammich as I bet hed make a good one especially with some lettuce & cheese and your choice of sauce and bread--- or The Whipster [4th image], another real nice beast, it being a Western Whiptail Lizard... too bad the end of its tail is hidden by m porch slab, isnt it? These creatures eat their prey whole, dont do any chewing. Life goes on in my back-40!
