Hi there, Wondering whether anyone else has a cat with a hoarding problem? Pepper is a much loved moggie who we adopted about 8 months ago. Sh came from the pound, very scared and literally only a couple of hours left to find a home before she went to be put down, she was six months old and had been dumped at the pound gates in a bird cage with her pregnant mother. Pepper hoards small pieces of clothing mostly. We will hear her making a yowling noise and shell have her latest prize in her mouth. This evening alone she has collected 5 single socks, a pair of socks, a pair of my daughters stockings, 2 pairs of knickers and just now I found her with a set of skateboarding knee pads in her mouth! She doesnt seem stressed and has come out lf her shell substantially since she arrived, although she is still a bit timid at times. Can anyone offer any advice whether this is a problem that needs to be addressed? Ive owned cats for nearly 30 years but this is the first time Ive had a hoarder!
